Elizabet “Liz” Genis, PA-C, is a functional medicine practitioner with a passion for helping patients better understand their health and take a more proactive, personalized approach to long-term wellness.
Liz began her clinical career in interventional pain management and emergency medicine, where her experience caring for patients sparked a growing interest in looking beyond symptoms to understand the underlying factors that influence health. This led her to pursue functional and longevity medicine, with advanced training through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M).
Liz earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from DeSales University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany (SUNY) Honors College.
Her approach to patient care is personalized, evidence-informed, and collaborative. She takes the time to understand each patient’s health history, lifestyle, concerns, and goals, looking at the bigger picture to help identify opportunities for meaningful, sustainable improvement. Liz believes patients should understand what is happening in their bodies and why, and places a strong emphasis on communication and education so they can take an active role in their health.
Liz also believes in practicing the principles she shares with her patients, prioritizing balanced nutrition, regular movement, restorative sleep, and stress management in her own life. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, she relocated to Miami in 2025. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys playing beach volleyball, spending time outdoors and at the beach, and making memories with family and friends.
